About Camp Days

Activities

Our Camp Days offer adults (18+) with developmental disabilities the chance to enjoy the best of camp in a beautiful outdoor setting featuring wheelchair-accessible trails and ADA-accessible amenities.

Whether paddling across the lake, aiming for a bullseye in archery, creating a work of art, or enjoying games and activities with friends, every Camp Day is filled with opportunities for adventure, connection, and discovery. Designed to encourage socialization, confidence, and skill-building, our program combines outdoor fun with meaningful experiences that keep guests coming back year after year.

Age-specific programming helps ensure activities are engaging, appropriate, and tailored to the unique interests and needs of each participant.

Guidelines for Participation

Caregiver Attendance

To ensure a fun and safe experience for all, each guest must have a caregiver accompany them. Caregivers attend at no additional cost.

Meals

We ask that attendees bring their own lunch due to various dietary restrictions.

What is Quest's Camp Thunderbird?

Located on 36 wooded acres surrounding beautiful Lake Prevatt in Apopka, Quest’s Camp Thunderbird offers year-round recreational opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities. Camp Thunderbird is also available for rental groups and overnight retreats.

What age groups can attend Camp Days?

18+

What activities are offered at Camp Days?

Traditional camp day activities include swimming, archery, wilderness survival skills, sports and games, arts and crafts, ecology, and the opportunity to socialize. Activities will be weather dependent and vary each camp day.

Are meals provided during Camp Days?

No, all participants are asked to bring their own packed lunches.

What happens if there is bad weather?

Camp Thunderbird offers both indoor and outdoor facilities, so the fun doesn’t stop when the weather changes. In the event of inclement weather, activities will be moved indoors to ensure guests continue to enjoy a safe and engaging camp experience.
