Quest's Legacy
Enriching lives and maximizing potential since 1962.
For over 60 years, Quest, Inc. has transformed the lives of thousands of adults and children with developmental disabilities.
Our History
The Central Florida Sheltered Workshop was founded in 1962 by a group of parents to ensure meaningful work opportunities for their children with developmental disabilities after formal education from the public school system was complete. Life Concepts, Inc. was founded in 1980 to provide residential and rehabilitative services to children and adults with disabilities who had previously lived in large state institutions.
On July 1, 1994, the Central Florida Sheltered Workshop and Life Concepts merged — forming Quest, Inc., the largest non-profit service provider for individuals with developmental disabilities in Central Florida.
From humble beginnings serving eight individuals in a single location, we have expanded to more than 20 locations across Orlando and Tampa, empowering over 500 individuals each day to experience a full life. Together, we can continue building communities where people with development disabilities thrive.
