As we bid farewell to another incredible summer at Quest’s Camp Thunderbird 2025, we reflect on the joy, laughter and unforgettable experiences campers enjoyed throughout the season. Here’s our list of the top 10 moments that truly made this summer special.

The talent shows quickly became a fan favorite, uniting everyone in an unforgettable display of self-expression. From singing and dancing to comedy skits, every performance reflected the campers’ passions and talents.

2. Wildlife with Gatorland

Camp Thunderbird welcomed a visit from Gatorland, known as “The Alligator Capital of the World®.” Not only did they have the chance to interact with exotic animals, but they also gained valuable insights into conservation efforts.

Under a canopy of lights, the cherished Thunderbird Dance brought everyone together for an enchanting night of laughter, joy and movement. The theme, “Lights, Camera, Action,” encouraged all to let loose and celebrate the joy of dance.

4. Making Splashes

There’s something truly special about the swimming pool at Camp Thunderbird. Watching guests enjoy the water, including those using wheelchairs, was inspiring. The sense of joy and inclusivity created a magical atmosphere where everyone could participate, relax and have fun under the sun.

5. Sponsor & Serve Initiative

Quest’s Sponsor & Serve initiative allows volunteer groups to cook and serve meals to campers and staff. This year, guests enjoyed a variety of meals — from a delightful Italian dinner prepared by GAI Consultants to BBQs with the Maitland Rotary Club, Taco Tuesdays by the Altamonte Rotary and good ole’ ice cream from Barton Malow. Each meal fostered a spirit of community that enriched the camp experience.

6. Bubbles of Joy

Big Idea Entertainment brought an exhilarating bubble experience to the Kids’ Camp session that sparked creativity and joy! Campers had a blast learning the art of bubble making with uniquely shaped wands.

Thanks to the Universal Orlando Foundation, the jump pillow continues to be a highlight of camp. The spirited addition encourages physical activity in a welcoming atmosphere, letting campers of all abilities enjoy the thrill.

8. Take the Plunge

The dunk tank blended friendly competition with refreshing splashes of water! Campers enjoyed testing their hand-eye coordination by aiming at the target to dunk their favorite staff members.

Archery was a hit! Guests appreciated the adaptive archery equipment, designed to adjust to each individual’s height and enhance grip strength. This thoughtful adaptation, donated by the Bond Foundation, ensured that everyone, regardless of their ability, could fully participate and enjoy the experience.

10. Magic Moments

The talent of magician and ventriloquist Jacki Manni enchanted everyone during an interactive magic show. Campers were delighted as they participated, with many joining her to assist with tricks. The performance left everyone in awe, showcasing stunning illusions and fostering a spirit of involvement that filled the room with smiles.
