Year in Review: Quest’s Top 10 Moments of 2025

As the year winds down, we reflect on the milestones that furthered our mission to help individuals with developmental disabilities experience full lives. Here are Quest Inc.’s top 10 moments of 2025, proof of the power of community, compassion and inclusion.

1. Fundraising success: Golf Quest, Wine Quest, PlayBingo

Together, the Central Florida community raised more than $575,000 through four Quest signature events. Golf Quest, Wine Quest, Join the Quest and the inaugural PlayBingo Ladies Luncheon combined fun with philanthropy, ensuring vital services continue for hundreds of children and adults. 2. Recognizing leadership excellence

President and CEO John R. Gill was named one of the Orlando Business Journal’s Most Influential Leaders of 2025. His “people first” philosophy continues to guide Quest and inspire our community. Read the full feature on Gill’s leadership and vision.

3. Camp Thunderbird magic

Camp Thunderbird welcomed campers, staff and volunteers for an unforgettable season. Renowned for its accessible activities, children and adults with developmental disabilities take part in experiences that build confidence, friendships and lasting memories. 4. Quest Kids Academy graduation

This year, Quest Kids Academy celebrated its third graduation, honoring two students at the Orlando Science Center. Families, staff and friends came together to recognize achievements that once seemed out of reach, with speeches highlighting each graduate’s journey. The celebration continued with food, dancing and camaraderie, while graduates left with posters signed by loved ones as keepsakes of encouragement.

5. Employment achievements

In 2025, dozens of the individuals Quest serves secured jobs across Central Florida in hospitality, retail, education and more, contributing to a 94% employment success rate. Highlights included 51 successful placements, 56 clients completing on‑the‑job trainings and our first‑ever Career Camp that connected participants with high‑growth industries.

6. Jewelry-making with Madison Marilla

Netflix’s Love on the Spectrum star Madison Marilla led a jewelry-making class at Quest’s Training Center in Tampa for adults seeking recreational and life-skills development opportunities. Participants were inspired by her journey to embrace creativity, self-belief and community inclusion. Learn more about the workshop and its impact.

7. Community outings and inclusion

Community inclusion is central to Quest’s mission. Outings to places like Aloma Bowling, Orlando City Soccer, the Straz Center and beyond help ensure individuals with developmental disabilities are valued and able to make lasting memories in the community. 8. Employee Appreciation Weeks

We honored the dedication of our staff through Teacher Appreciation Week, Direct Support Professional Appreciation Week and more. These celebrations reinforced the culture of gratitude that drives our mission forward.

9. Design Innovation

Quest launched the Sidelyer, a groundbreaking device designed to improve the lives of individuals typically confined to a bed. By reducing strain on health care staff and making repositioning safer and easier, the Sidelyer represents Quest’s commitment to innovation and dignity in care.

10. Holiday Home Adoption

Now in its 23rd year, Quest’s Holiday Home Adoption program continues to bring joy to individuals with developmental disabilities. Volunteers and donors are fulfilling wish lists, hosting parties and creating cherished memories across Quest programs. From iPads to sneakers, every gift reminds our clients they are valued and celebrated. Follow along for updates and photos as celebrations unfold.
