This month, we celebrate one of our new graduates from Quest Kids Academy, Nate! Nate has been attending Quest Kids programs since he was ten years old and his positive attitude and willingness to challenge himself through the years have poised him for success post-graduation.
Nate attended public school and was struggling academically and personally. With bullying issues and the pace of mainstream schooling, it was time for a change.
In 5th grade, Nate’s mother, Mendy, discovered Quest Kids Academy. The director at the time thought he was a perfect match. Since his time at QKA, Nate has evolved into an outgoing and upstanding community member.
During the latter part of his years, Nate joined Blossom Artisanal in the Work Study Program, which benefitted him immensely. “He’s so different since working at Blossom. Employment has changed him. He has this amazing confidence now.” Says France Torres, Director of Curriculum and Instruction at QKA.
This past month Nate officially graduated from QKA and is now a part-time employee of Blossom Artisanal. “I’m grateful for Quest and for the life skills they have provided for me,” Nate says when reflecting on the years at Quest.
At Quest, we are very proud of Nate and his accomplishment at QKA. Quest is excited to see all that he does at Blossom!
