Lisa is a remarkable individual with a passion for helping others. Her infectious spirit and servant’s heart make her a valuable volunteer at the Snack Shack at Quest’s Training Center-Apopka.
Proudly Serving at Snack Shack
At Snack Shack, Lisa takes her responsibilities seriously. She is proud to be a part of a program that teaches individuals about customer service, inventory management and financial management. Some examples of her work include helping clients choose snacks, greeting new customers with a smile, and keeping track of inventory to ensure that the Snack Shack is always fully stocked.
“Lisa is very helpful and loves to work at Snack Shack,” says Shanna Berrion, a Quest Training Center Coordinator. “She likes to introduce herself and welcome people to Quest. She’s very outspoken and friendly, always showing kind gestures.”
Radiating Positivity Through Personal Style
Lisa’s love for kindness and generosity extends beyond volunteering. On her days off, she enjoys indulging in some self-care activities, such as eating out with friends and getting her hair and nails done. Lisa takes pride in looking and feeling her best, which matches her incredible ability to uplift others.
Her fashion sense reflects her sparkling personality, always putting her best foot forward and radiating positivity in all her endeavors.
Joy for Inclusive Environments
Attending community outings like Gatorland or the Orlando Magic games with Quest also brings her great joy. Lisa is an avid Orlando Magic fan and had a great time at the Magic of Inclusion Night game in March. She eagerly anticipates attending a future game and witnessing her favorite team take home the win.
In addition to participating in a growing list of community outings with the center, Lisa is excited to attend Quest’s Camp Thunderbird in June. Camp Thunderbird offers children and adults with developmental disabilities a classic summer camp experience. She looks forward to activities like archery and talent shows, where she can put a smile on faces by singing her favorite Kenny Rogers songs.
An Asset to Quest’s Training Center
Lisa’s impact on the training center in Apopka is clear. She is a true asset to the Snack Shack operation, and her positive attitude and friendly demeanor warms the hearts of those around her. Mona Erickson, Staffing and Operations Coordinator-Apopka says it best, “Anybody who knows or meets her will fall in love with her. She’s a great individual.”
