Quest’s Camp Thunderbird is delighted to host guests who attend multiple camp sessions throughout the summer. Kelsey, a long-time attendee of Camp Thunderbird, has been a guest for over five years. Residing in South Florida with her family, Kelsey considers Camp Thunderbird a home away from home.
In 2018, Kelsey’s father, Robert, was exploring fun and engaging ways to get her outdoors and into social settings where she could make more friends. He was looking for somewhere that promoted independence for their guests. He was excited to find Camp Thunderbird.
“Every time she gets home from camp, she shows me all the art she made and tells me all kinds of fun stories,” said Robert “Before camp, she didn’t have much independence, but now she does almost everything independently.”
Kelsey is an excellent example of the benefits a loved one can receive while attending Quest’s Camp Thunderbird. Camp Thunderbird is not just a vacation; it’s an experience that creates fond memories and lasting independence. We look forward to seeing Kelsey next camp season!
