Those We Serve – Alex

For Alexandr, moving to Quest Village represented the promise of independence and the freedom to focus on personal growth.

“It’s my first time out on my own and away from my family,” said Alexandr. “The people at Quest Village help you budget, pay rent and get a handle on life — just making sure everything is up to par.”

As Alexandr settled into the community, he found the residents and staff friendly and welcoming. Game nights and outings provided opportunities to get to know his neighbors, fostering a strong sense of community and friendship.

Alexandr’s father, Matthew, believes Quest Village offers the right blend of support and autonomy for his son.

“It’s a community where people with disabilities can successfully live independently, learn life skills, grow, mature and engage in social relationships,” said Matthew. “Quest provides an atmosphere that’s in Alexandr’s best interests. I think it is healthy — mentally and emotionally — for him to live independently outside the home he grew up in.”

Working at BurgerFi, where he’s now a shift supervisor, has been a source of growth and pride for Alexandr.

“I was a fry cook when I first started,” he said. “I worked my way up, not knowing I’d be in management because I never had an interest. Then they offered me the shift supervisor job, and I took it to get the experience. But I’ve loved it ever since.”

Quest Village has allowed Alexandr to stretch his wings and expand his horizon. “This is a place for growth and independence,” said Alexandr as he reflects on his experience.
