Tim’s last day with Quest, Inc. was in February and we already miss him! He was with Quest for nearly six years and started as a Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP). He was then promoted to Lead QIDP. After a year and a half, he was promoted to the Director of the Laurel Hill Cluster.
“From the first day I walked in the building, I could tell there was something different about Quest,” said Tim. “Quest inspires excellence in so many different avenues and works hard to find creative ways to assist with their mission. I have never worked at a company like Quest, and I am so grateful for the opportunity. The leadership truly has the client’s and staff’s best interest in every plan that they make. The clients and team that I have worked with at Laurel Hill has impacted me more than they could ever know.”
For anyone thinking about working at Quest, Tim’s advice is: “Do not plan to take a job at a company like Quest just to have a job. The longer you work with these individuals and staff the more they become like a second family.”
From Direct Support Professional (DSP) appreciation weeks to holiday parties and everything in between, Tim has enjoyed all of the projects and laughs he has shared with his fellow team members. “One night that stands out was taking a client shopping at a suit store before the Night to Shine prom a few years ago,” said Tim. “He left the store with a new blue suit with a white hat and shoes and was so proud and excited to wear it that night.”
Reflecting on more than just the fun events and parties, Tim appreciates all of the people he worked with day to day who made his time here unforgettable. “There are many people who have impacted me significantly during my time at Quest, including Brooke Eakins and the management team that I was so fortunate to have the pleasure of working with at Laurel Hill,” said Tim. “But without a doubt the leadership and mentoring of Jamie Crandell has impacted me and my career more than anyone else.”
Jamie Crandell, Sr. Director of Residential Programs, recognizes Tim’s strong leadership skills and work ethic. “Tim led with a calmness and the ability to listen and understand,” said Jamie. “He was a fantastic leader and super creative. Each year he tried to make Laurel Hill’s Holiday Party bigger and better. Everyone loved Tim — it was just his approach, his calmness. He was just a good person. A good listener. A good leader. He will definitely be missed by everyone for sure.”
We appreciate Tim for all of his hard work and dedication and we know he has made a lasting impact on the individuals he served. We wish Tim all the best on his next adventure!
