Team Member Highlight – Loryn Boudoin

by | Dec 3, 2025 | Quest Kids Therapy, Team Member Highlight

At Quest Kids Therapy, our mission is to help children and teens with autism and other developmental disabilities thrive through evidence‑based ABA therapy. With centers across Central Florida and Greater Tampa Bay, our team is made up of passionate professionals who bring both science and heart to every session.

The road to Quest Kids Therapy

One of those professionals is Loryn, a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) at Quest Kids Therapy in Lake Mary. Growing up alongside her cousin with special needs, Loryn developed a deep appreciation for the importance of support and inclusion. That early connection sparked her desire to pursue psychology and receive experience working with children in foster care and psychiatric facilities.

After graduating in 2019, the challenges of entering the workforce during the pandemic left Loryn searching for the right job opportunity. In 2023, she joined Quest’s Camp Thunderbird as an administrative assistant, where she had her first opportunity to work in the field with a wide range of individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities. Even though her role was administrative and a temporary position, she loved being outside with the camp guests, hearing their stories and seeing the joy they had coming back year after year.

“During that time, Quest’s philanthropy team visited camp and shared that a grant had been awarded to fund RBT training. So, I began the training while at camp and started my job as an RBT the week after I ended my role at camp.”

A passion for helping children thrive

As an RBT, Loryn implements treatment plans designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), who assess each child’s unique needs and guide the strategies used in therapy. Since becoming certified, she has supported children across school, clinic and home settings.

For Loryn, the most rewarding part of her work is witnessing progress firsthand. Whether it’s seeing a child’s long tantrums reduced to just a few minutes, destructive behaviors managed with coping strategies, or even graduating from services altogether, each milestone is proof that growth is possible.

That progress doesn’t happen in isolation. Collaborating with staff and families is essential to sustaining change, and parents often notice breakthroughs first. Their feedback is both encouraging and vital, because it shows that skills are carrying over into everyday life — a process known in ABA therapy as generalization.

“It doesn’t work if progress only happens here in therapy. True generalization requires parents to be just as involved as we are. That’s the key to lasting behavior change,” she says.

Committed to growth

The more Loryn sees the children and families she works with thrive, the more inspired she is to grow in her education and professional development. Her experiences have led her to pursue certification as a BCBA, allowing her to design and oversees individualized treatment plans in ABA therapy. This next step builds on the strong foundation she has created as an RBT. We are proud of her continued growth and the dedication she brings to every child and family she serves.

“I’ve been trying to find my place for a long time, and I really found it here at Quest. I love this field,” Loryn says.
