Services for Every Stage of Life

Ages 18 months to 12 years

Children

Early intervention is the key to unlocking your child’s long-term potential. At this stage, we focus on establishing essential communication and behavioral skills.

Ages 13 to 22

Adolescents

As your child grows, our focus shifts to life beyond the classroom. We bridge the gap between school and adulthood by teaching the practical skills needed for a self-sufficient life.

Ages 22+

Adults

Graduation isn’t the end, it’s a new beginning. We provide a long-term safety net of support to ensure every adult can live and work as a valued member of their community.

Quest Kids Therapy

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy for children with developmental disabilities, focused on building communication, behavior and daily living skills in a supportive, structured environment.

Quest Kids Academy

A private school option for children with developmental disabilities that provides individualized education, small class sizes and a focus on academic, social and functional skill development.

Quest's Camp Thunderbird

Seasonal camp programs that offer children opportunities for recreation, social connection and independence through inclusive, structured activities in a safe and supportive setting.

Services for Adolescents

Employment Services

Employment-focused supports that help adolescents build job skills and confidence through career camps, self-advocacy classes, work-based learning experiences and work-readiness training.

Quest Kids Academy

A specialized education program emphasizing functional academics, daily living skills, social development and preparation for adulthood for adolescents and young adults.

Quest Kids Therapy

ABA therapy for adolescents with developmental disabilities, focused on communication, behavior, emotional regulation and building independence as needs change.

Quest's Camp Thunderbird

Seasonal camp programs that support social connection, recreation and independence. Youth sessions serve children and teens under 18, with adult sessions available for ages 18 and older.

Employment Services

Services that help adults prepare for and succeed in community-based jobs through training, coaching and supported employment.

Quest Training Centers

Adult Day Training programs offering structured, meaningful daytime activities focused on life skills, engagement and social connection.

Quest's Camp Thunderbird

Seasonal camp experiences for adults that promote recreation, friendship and independence in a supportive, inclusive environment.

Residential Services

Housing options that help adults with daily living through group homes or supported living, with varying levels of assistance based on individual needs.

Intermediate Care Facilities

Residential settings offering 24-hour nursing care for individuals with developmental disabilities who have complex medical needs and are typically non-ambulatory.

Quest Village

A supportive housing community designed to promote long-term independence, connection and access to services for adults with developmental disabilities.

Understanding Your Funding Options

Apply for APD services as early as possible
  • The APD Medicaid Waiver is the primary funding source for many adult services in Florida.
  • Wait times can be 5–7+ years. Apply early even if your child is still young.

What APD can help fund

  • Supported employment and long-term job coaching

  • Adult day training and life skills supports

  • Residential services and transportation supports

Apply for the APD Medicaid Waiver

  • Visit apd.myflorida.com for eligibility 

  • Applications are not submitted online

  • Complete the application and deliver or mail it to your nearest APD office

Use insurance or Medicaid for therapy services
  • Quest Kids Therapy provides Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy.
  • Private insurance or Medicaid may be used to help cover ABA therapy services.

  • Coverage varies by plan, diagnosis, and age, and may require prior authorization.
  • Visit questinc.org/quest-kids-therapy to learn more and see insurance currently accepted.
      Fund specialized education or therapy services through scholarships
      • Families may use the Florida Empowerment Scholarship for Unique Abilities (FES-UA) to help fund specialized education or therapy services.

      • This scholarship is commonly used by families whose children attend Quest Kids Academy or receive eligible services.
