At Quest, we value our partnerships with other companies and local volunteer groups.
As a Central Florida-based organization, one of the volunteer groups we are very thankful for is the Orlando Magic Volunteer Program (MVP). Due to their efforts, Camp Thunderbird received a new coat of paint on their basketball court!
At Camp Thunderbird, the basketball court is used for multiple activities such as external programming, sports and games, parties, chalk decorating, you name it!
After years of wear and tear, the basketball court was ready for a new look.
“We always have an ongoing to-do list of projects for Camp, so we were really grateful to have volunteer groups like the Orlando Magic come out and take some of those things on,” says Noelle Arcaro, Director of Quest’s Camp Thunderbird. “They greatly impact our facilities by helping us stay up to date so we can continue to provide a quality program.”
With a never-ending list of things to do at Camp Thunderbird, each volunteer group helps make Camp great with its work.
“It’s always incredible to see organizations come out to our programs and give back their time and talent in areas where our programs need refurbishing or repairs,” said Samantha Manguiat, Quest’s Events and Volunteer Manager.
As a team, Orlando Magic spent the morning repainting the basketball court. Finally, after some hours of work, the basketball court was good as new!
Thanks to the Orlando Magic MVPs, painting the basketball court will help with rental use and encourages potential guests to stay at Camp Thunderbird!
The generous time and effort of various volunteer groups allow Quest to continue our mission of creating communities where individuals with disabilities achieve their goals.
