Creative expression can be a boon to learning! That’s why Quest Kids Academy collaborates with community partners to bring the joy of music and dance into its learning process.
Quest Kids Academy has long-standing partnerships with Joyful Music Therapy and Chance 2 Dance, which provide music and dance classes to our students. These classes are customized to meet the unique needs of our students, creating a safe and inclusive environment for them to express themselves creatively.
The classes offer a range of benefits in a fun, low-pressure setting, including learning how to follow directions, playing instruments, writing music as a group, and improving social skills.
Through these classes, students have the opportunity to improve focus, repeat moves or songs and respond to cues. The small successes achieved in these classes significantly add to our student’s growth and create a positive impact on their lives.
Students also participate in two performances each school year to showcase the progress they have made in their classes. These engaging music and dance experiences are made possible through funding by United Arts of Central Florida, working to enhance the quality and variety of cultural experiences throughout Central Florida.
“We’re happy to be able to provide these opportunities each year,” said Melissa Lopez, Director of Quest Kids Academy. “It is truly awesome to witness each kiddo’s growth over time, and our mid- and end-of-year performances are always a hit!”
