Quest’s Camp Thunderbird, renowned for its commitment to providing enriching experiences for adults with developmental disabilities, is set to launch exciting, new and inclusive programs for kids, thanks in part to a generous grant from the Universal Orlando Foundation. The $100,000 grant marks a significant milestone in expanding Camp Thunderbird’s offerings, ensuring that more children, both with and without developmental disabilities, can access tailored recreational and educational activities.
The new programs aim to foster personal growth, social interaction and skill development in a supportive environment. From outdoor adventures to creative arts and therapeutic activities, Camp Thunderbird’s expanded offerings promise diverse opportunities for children to thrive, regardless of their abilities.
Among the highlights of the upcoming programs are the Spring Break Day Camp, Kids Summer Camp, School Field Trips and Family Camp. Each program promises to provide children with fun and engaging experiences guided by experienced staff members. Campers will engage in nature-based and STEM activities, sports and games, and wildlife observation, promoting a deeper connection with the natural world while honing their physical and sensory skills.
Camp Thunderbird kids’ programs will also introduce innovative arts and crafts workshops, allowing children to unleash their creativity and express themselves through various mediums.
