John R. Gill, President & CEO of Quest, Inc., was recently inducted into the University of Central Florida’s College of Business Hall of Fame. Mr. Gill, who graduated from UCF in 1986 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Business, was recognized for his outstanding contributions to the community and his dedication to making a difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities.
Mr. Gill’s professional experience includes roles in business development, finance planning and analysis, commercial business banking, recruiting and several entrepreneurial ventures. He has worked with a diverse group of organizations including Robert Half, Tews Company, The Walt Disney Company, Darden Restaurants and has led the Quest organization for the past ten years.
Katie Porta, who was the founder of Quest, Inc. and led the organization for 32 years, hand-picked Gill to take the helm of the organization in her departure due to a courageous battle with cancer. Mr Gill was able to steward the organization through that transition and build on its legacy as the leading provider of services for people with developmental and intellectual disabilities in Central Florida. Quest’s sustainability during the COVID outbreak and its post-pandemic growth are a testament to Mr. Gill’s business leadership. He has been a tireless advocate for people with disabilities, working to ensure that they and their families have access to the services and resources they need to live full and meaningful lives.

Gill’s induction into UCF’s College of Business Hall of Fame is a testament to his dedication and commitment to improving the lives of others and the broader community. Quest, Inc. congratulates him on this well-deserved honor!
