How Community Partners Enriched the Holiday Season at Quest

by | Dec 30, 2025 | Partnerships, Philanthropy

As we settle into 2026, we’re taking a moment to recognize the community partners, volunteers and families who helped our clients end 2025 on a high note. Each experience provided a meaningful opportunity for them to build skills, strengthen relationships and feel supported by their community. Here’s a look at some of the moments that made a real impact.

A celebration with Kyle Becker and family

Immediate Past Board Chair Kyle Becker and his family once again created a warm, welcoming celebration for our clients at Quest’s Training Center in Apopka. With delicious food catered from Sonny’s BBQ and a DJ spinning favorites, they created an environment where every client felt included, seen and celebrated. The music, dancing and laughter made the event a highlight of the season, and a powerful example of what family-centered partnership looks like.

Crafting with GAI Consultants

GAI Consultants returned to Quest Village for their annual craft party. Residents decorated picture frames—some for themselves, others as gifts—while enjoying pizza, drinks and desserts. Quest Village staff photographed residents throughout the evening, and the photos were printed and placed in the completed frames. GAI’s consistency has turned this gathering into a reunion among friends.

Holiday Home Adoption Program

Now in its 23rd year, the Holiday Home Adoption Program continues to promote generosity, inclusion and community. Beth Hobart, a passionate Orlando real estate agent and former Quest board member, gathered volunteers and donors to fulfill client wish lists. The gifts themselves, from sneakers to iPads, were meaningful, but the true impact came from the message behind them: you matter, and your community cares about you.

A Charlie Brown Christmas with Orlando Family Stage

Through their No Empty Seat Initiative, Orlando Family Stage welcomed Quest group home clients to experience A Charlie Brown Christmas: Live on Stage. Beyond the joy of theater, outings like this help clients practice life skills, navigate public spaces and feel included in Central Florida’s cultural life. Orlando Family Stage’s commitment to accessibility ensured our clients experienced the same opportunities as any other audience member.

Gingerbread houses with Addition Financial Credit Union

For the third year in a row, Addition Financial Credit Union brought its energy and kindness to Quest’s Training Center in Apopka. Their volunteers did more than build gingerbread houses; they built connections. Working side by side with clients, they encouraged teamwork, fine motor skills and self-expression. This activity has become a beloved tradition not because of the candy or decorations, but because of the relationships formed across the table.

ICE! outing supported by St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church

Thanks to the Capital Outreach Grant from St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, Quest Kids Academy students experienced the wonder of ICE! featuring Rudloph the Red-Nosed Reindeer at no cost. Hosted at the Gaylord Palms, the immersive, story-driven holiday attraction featured ice sculptures, frozen slides and interactive tunnels. The outing supported sensory exploration, social interaction and real-world learning.

Quest expresses gratitude

As we reflect on these moments, one thing is clear: none of this would have been possible without the generosity and commitment of our partners, volunteers and families.

“We are deeply grateful for everything our supporters did throughout 2025 to uplift, celebrate and support our mission. They truly are an important part of the Quest family. We can’t wait to share even more moments of impact and connection with community partners in 2026,” says Lauren Nelson, vice president of philanthropy.
