We’re happy to report that our Heroes of COVID-19 Week was a huge success! Even a global pandemic couldn’t keep us from celebrating our selfless team members that work so hard every day to deliver services to the individuals in our care.
Direct Support Professional Recognition Week is a national awareness campaign to honor the more than 4 million Direct Support Professionals (DSP) who provide services for individuals with disabilities and seniors. DSP Week is a time-honored tradition at Quest and we pull out all the stops! Gift giveaways, deliciously catered work shifts, fun and games that lift the spirit, and personally delivered treats are all part of the celebration.
This year, we decided to show our appreciation to all the heroes that helped us weather the storm of COVID-19 — our nurses, groundskeepers, kitchen staff, maintenance crew, DSPs and everyone in between. Managers, directors and Quest’s leadership team all took part in transporting these heroes to a week-long, virus-free vacation. Our DSPs and other supporting team members have been instrumental in keeping the individuals we serve and fellow staff members safe during the pandemic.
Even amid the festivities, our frontline team never lost sight of the Quest mission and the individuals we serve. Below is a glimpse into a dancing session with our residents — the joy and liberation is infectious!
To all of our DSPs and support staff, you are an inspiration to everyone at Quest and we are honored to work alongside you. Thank you for choosing a career path that makes a tremendous difference in so many lives each day. You are truly heroes!
