Direct Support Professional Recognition Week, is a national recognition week that acknowledged the hard work and contributions made to enrich the lives of individuals with disabilities. Throughout this year’s DSP Week 2023, we expressed our gratitude and appreciation for these selfless individuals’ remarkable work.
For DSP Week, Quest organizes various activities for DSPs to engage and participate in. This year’s DSP Week carried a western theme featuring exclusive DSP Week shirts and activities ranging from catered luncheons to exciting games, giving staff the opportunity to win incredible prizes such as gift cards, appliances, tech gear and more. This celebration is a token of appreciation for their hard work and a way to express gratitude for their immense contributions to the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities.
We spoke with Brooke Eakins, Chief Operations Officer at Quest, about what DSP Week means to her. Brooke stated, “At Quest, we like to go above and beyond during DSP Week to appreciate our staff’s hard work and dedication. With themed-out décor, limited edition t-shirts and various games and prizes, we turn the week into the extraordinary celebration our DSPs deserve.”
