Quest, Inc. recognizes and celebrates its maintenance staff for their dedication and exceptional service. Every team member is vital in ensuring Quest facilities and its surrounding areas are in top shape. Let’s get to know these unsung heroes who keep Quest running smoothly.

Isabelle Harris

Isabelle is the esteemed senior director of facilities, fleet and compliance at Quest. Her remarkable journey began in 1991, following her relocation from Germany. Isabelle’s personal experience of having a brother with disabilities inspired her to work with others facing similar circumstances.

Starting at one of Quest’s Intermediate Care Facilities in Tampa, she steadily progressed to managing group homes and eventually assumed her current role. As senior director, Isabelle oversees maintenance and compliance for 29 facilities in Orlando and Tampa, ensuring smooth operation and adherence to regulations. She also liaises with vendors for quotes and supervises the maintenance staff.

Isabelle admirably acknowledges the team’s adeptness at prioritizing tasks, particularly during emergencies. She praises their strong work ethic, camaraderie and ability to infuse humor into their work.

“I enjoy seeing the staff and the clients laughing and having fun. It makes me love coming to work every day,” Isabelle says.

Her 33-year tenure at Quest demonstrates a deep commitment to serving others. Compassion for caretaking emerged as her most valued skill, reminding her of clients’ emphasis on happiness and gratitude.

“The wonderful people we work with inspire us to find happiness in the little things,” she says. “I love the passion that we have for them. I’ve always been impressed with how Quest cares about people.”

Javier Gomez

Javier is the maintenance lead in Tampa. He has been in his current role for four years and has worked at Quest for 13 years. He maintains the functionality and safety of the buildings he oversees.

Javier’s enjoyment of helping people and creating positive interactions with clients shines through in his work. He believes in respecting and uplifting others, bringing laughter and brightness into their lives.

“I enjoy helping people,” Javier says. “The clients know they have somebody to care for them, which can make a positive difference.”

The motto, “safety first,” guides Javier’s approach to teamwork. He maintains safety in his line of work by using the right parts and team members to perform maintenance tasks.

Javier’s eagerness to learn and adapt has been instrumental in his professional development. This commitment has allowed him to deliver high-quality maintenance services while receiving positive feedback from clients and managers.

He also enjoys utilizing his acquired skills to assist his family, friends, and community members with maintenance requirements.

Outside of work, Javier revels in the opportunity to accompany his son to soccer matches, where they bond over their shared love for the game.

Javier Gomez

Ramkhran Basdeo

Ramkhran serves as the maintenance lead in Orlando. He brings a wealth of experience to his role, starting his construction career at 15 and continuing to build houses in Trinidad from the ground up.

As a maintenance lead, he excels at delegating work orders to his crew and liaising with partnering companies to ensure requests are executed efficiently. He finds fulfillment in helping clients and works seamlessly with his team to achieve common goals.

Two meaningful projects for Ramkhran include the construction of a pavilion at one of our therapy centers and the renovation of one of our supported living centers, during which he cherished the unity and teamwork displayed by his colleagues to ensure the successful passing of the inspection.

“The team members understand each other. Once you tell them what to do, they get the job done,” he says.

Ramkhran takes pride in the maintenance team’s positive impact on clients’ lives. He recalls a memorable day when he and his team rushed to carry clients from a vehicle after noticing a malfunctioning lift, showing their commitment to providing quick and efficient solutions.

When reflecting on his time at Quest, Ramkhran proudly shared: “The people are so nice. The way the clients greet you is unbelievable. I have no regrets.”

Eric McDonald

Eric McDonald, our dedicated maintenance technician in Orlando, has been an invaluable member of Quest for over eight years. His passion for the outdoors and exceptional technical skills have made him an asset to the maintenance department.

Beginning his journey at Quest’s Camp Thunderbird as a housekeeper and groundskeeper, team members quickly noticed Eric’s dedication and willingness to go above and beyond. He was promoted to facilities coordinator and has seamlessly transitioned into a full-time position within the maintenance team.

Eric maintains a working order that reassures and comforts staff and clients. His spirit and commitment to excellence unite the team, particularly during challenging situations. When repairing a broken water pipe at Camp Thunderbird, Eric and his colleagues demonstrated remarkable teamwork, showcasing their dedication to maintaining Quest’s high standards.

“The guys are hardworking and knowledgeable. It’s always great to share our knowledge,” he says. “Everyone is easy to get along with, and it’s fun.”

Looking to the future, Eric is eager to focus on preventive maintenance, ensuring that Quest’s buildings consistently meet and exceed expectations.

Carlos Inciarte

Carlos, the maintenance technician in Orlando, brings a unique blend of skills and passion to his role at Quest. His computer science degree, family background in architecture and love for construction have shaped his distinctive perspective.

Carlos takes pride in ensuring well-maintained properties and emphasizes the importance of a comfortable living space for clients. After a year with Quest, his enthusiasm for his role is evident when discussing the company’s culture.

He enjoys being part of a team that feels like family and thrives in a positive atmosphere. Carlos highlights his team’s supportive and non-intrusive approach to collaboration, which empowers and motivates him.

Above all, the most rewarding aspect of his job is the appreciation and gratitude from our clients. He finds fulfillment in knowing that his work directly impacts their lives.

“Everything is about the clients,” Carlos says. “It’s great when you finish something, and they express gratitude. To witness their happiness is everything to me.”

In his free time, Carlos goes camping almost every weekend. His love for the outdoors influences his work, furthering his appreciation for maintaining the environment and creating enjoyable spaces for all.

Cesar Delgado Arias

Cesar is Quest’s fleet manager. With a little over a year of service, he has demonstrated a remarkable commitment to overseeing fleet operations in Orlando and Tampa.

His passion for meeting client needs fuels his management of a fleet of nearly 50 vehicles. Cesar finds the most fulfillment when the vehicles he manages transport clients on their daily needs—from doctor’s appointments to community outings. Access to reliable transportation enables clients to lead full lives, and he cherishes clients’ gratitude when they return safely from their destinations.

Cesar acknowledges his team’s role in his success and expresses gratitude for their support and collaboration.

“I started my journey in the fleet industry in 1998, and 25 years later, it remains the best decision I’ve ever made,” he reflects. “I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished at Quest this year, and I’m confident that our future is even brighter.”

Beyond his professional duties, Cesar enjoys playing soccer and cherishing quality time with his family. He fondly recalls how his father spread joy among clients at Quest’s Training Center in Tampa by playing the piano during the holiday season.

Angel Ortiz Rivera

Angel has been a member of the Quest maintenance team for just over two months. His journey in the maintenance industry began in New York over 20 years ago. Over time, he obtained his HBAC certification, adding air conditioning to his skillset.

Angel’s passion for helping others is inspiring. His venture into real estate fueled his desire to assist those needing home repairs. He started by helping older people with house repairs through volunteer work, a value that continues to drive his work today.

Angel is committed to Quest’s mission of helping people with developmental disabilities experience a full life. He appreciates how the maintenance team brings smiles to clients’ faces by repairing and refurbishing Quest facilities.

“We help each other and discuss any ideas because everybody works differently. So, we talk about the tasks at hand and how best to get the job done. That’s the culture I like,” Angel says.

Aside from work, Angel enjoys frequenting theaters and cherishing moments with his family, particularly his beloved granddaughter.

Noel Rodriguez

Noel is the newest member of the maintenance team. He brings 27 years of maintenance experience to Quest, with a background working for Intercontinental hotels and the McDonald Training Center, which provides support for people with disabilities. Maintenance is Noel’s lifelong passion.

“I’ve done maintenance all my life,” he says. “I find it easy to do, and I like to fix things and challenge myself. Since I was small, I would take things apart and try fixing them up.”

He is committed to building relationships with clients, getting to know them, and valuing meaningful conversations. He is equally excited about the opportunity to grow alongside his fellow team members.

Outside of work, Noel enjoys activities such as dancing, cooking and sports. His positive attitude and eagerness to connect with others make him a valuable addition to the team.
