It’s a bittersweet moment as Camp Thunderbird comes to a close. However, we are happy to report that guests had a fantastic experience this summer! New staff, new memories and new leadership made this a year to remember.
This summer, guests experienced many different themes and activities including holiday week, western week, sci-fi week, superhero week and many more. The variety in our activities encourages guests to try something new and get out of their comfort zones.
Our engaged team members are a significant component of camp’s success. We have a diverse group of hard-working and compassionate people, many of whom come from all over the world for the summer to serve our guests.
“With this being my first summer at camp, I am thrilled with how the 2023 season went overall,” said Meghann Hall, Assistant Director at Camp Thunderbird. “This summer was a dream come true. I am so lucky to have a job that I love!”
“The guests make Camp Thunderbird what it is,” says John Uresti, Camp Director. “Relationships, kindness and respect create impact, and that is what Camp Thunderbird is about.”
We’ve had a fantastic summer of memories at Camp Thunderbird and we look forward to next season!
