April 2nd was World Autism Day and the entire month of April is Autism Acceptance Month. As you can imagine, April is a pretty big month at Quest! Autism Acceptance month, previously known as Autism Awareness Month, started with the Autism Society who held the first National Autism Awareness Month in April of 1970.
For World Autism Day, staff participated in the “Light It Up Blue” campaign. This campaign aims to foster understanding and acceptance of neurodiversity. Everyone wore their favorite blue outfits to help raise autism awareness and be part of an inclusive community.
