An Inspiring 2025 Join the Quest Fundraising Luncheon

by | Mar 6, 2025 | Join the Quest

We were thrilled to host our 2025 Join the Quest Fundraising Luncheon at the Winter Park Events Center on March 5. Sponsored by AdventHealth, this annual event allowed 170 attendees to learn more about Quest, Inc.’s mission to help individuals with developmental disabilities live full lives.

Exciting Renderings of the New Quest Kids Academy and Therapy Center

John Gill, President and CEO, kicked off the event by showcasing beautiful renderings of the new state-of-the-art campus for Quest Kids Academy and Quest Kids Therapy. He explained how these exciting developments will help further our mission and provide enhanced support for the children we serve.

Inspiring Stories from Individuals We Serve

As part of the program, guests heard inspirational stories from the individuals that Quest serves and their families. This year, we were honored to have Laura Hernandez share her heartfelt story about her son, Daniel, a student at Quest Kids Academy.

“Everyone says it takes a village to raise a child. Quest is part of that village, and the work they are doing for children and adults with developmental disabilities is life-changing not only for them but for the whole family. It gives caregivers the hope that one day when we are gone, our child will have the support they need to thrive as they grow to be an adult,” Hernandez said.

One of Quest’s clients, Austin, also took to the stage to share his journey. Austin’s involvement with Quest began at the early age of four when he attended Quest Kids Therapy to improve his social skills. He was among the first students to attend Quest Kids Academy.

After graduating in 2024, Austin began working with Quest’s employment program and will start his first job at Grilled Cheezus this month. At the end of his speech, he received a standing ovation from the crowd.

“I love Quest and all the opportunities they have provided for me. I hope you love them too after hearing me speak,” he said.

The Blossom Artisanal  Team Engages with Attendees

Blossom Artisanal, Quest’s social venture, offers artisanal products handcrafted by individuals with developmental disabilities. The social venture provides meaningful employment and empowers these individuals to live full and independent lives.

While the Blossom team typically works behind the scenes at their shop, events like Join the Quest allow them to engage directly with customers and develop sales and customer service skills. The Blossom team enjoyed connecting with guests and selling products before and after the luncheon, all while sharing their mission of cultivating employment opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities.
