The transition to adulthood can be both exciting and overwhelming for individuals with disabilities and their families. Questions about employment, living arrangements, life skills and future support become more pressing as families contemplate the next chapter.
Understanding what support options are available can help families make confident decisions about their loved one’s future.
Understanding the Options for Adult Transition
Employment Services
For many individuals, employment is an important step toward greater independence, confidence and community involvement. Quest Employment Services helps adults with developmental disabilities identify career interests, develop workplace skills and pursue meaningful employment opportunities.
Quest works with the State of Florida’s Vocational Rehabilitation Agency (VR) to provide job coaching, internships, work-based learning experiences and community employment opportunities. Quest tailors these services to each person’s goals, interests and support needs. This personalized approach helps individuals find vocational opportunities that match their strengths and interests while supporting long-term success.
Adult Day Training Centers
Adult Day Training Centers provide opportunities for continued learning and community engagement after graduation. Quest Training Centers help participants build life skills, strengthen social connections and engage more fully in their communities. Activities can include volunteering, community outings, culinary classes and other electives in alignment with participant needs and goals.

Quest offers a variety of residential options designed to meet individuals wherever they are on their journey toward independence.
