The 27th Annual Wine Quest a Smashing Success
This year, Quest celebrated our 27th annual Wine Quest! The event was a huge success, bringing in over $365,000 for children and adults with developmental disabilities served by Quest.
In partnership with Southern Glazer’s Wine and Spirits, Wine Quest took place at the beautiful Loew’s Portofino Bay Hotel at Universal Orlando on June 2nd and 3rd. On Friday night’s Grand Tasting Event, guests sampled a large array of fine wines, craft spirits and abundant hors d’oeuvres while bidding on a curated selection of silent auction items. WESH TV anchor and journalist, Sheldon Dutes, hosted the festivities and engaged with the lively crowd throughout venue.
Saturday’s Premier Dining Celebration offered a Bubbly Reception followed by four-course dining experience with wine pairings from Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars. The combination of exquisite wine and an engaging live auction hosted by Alan Frenkel created a truly memorable and eventful night. Guests also got to hear about the personal journey of Nate, who has attended Quest programs since childhood and was recently part of the first graduating class of Quest Kids Academy! Saturday night was emceed by Stewart Moore from WESH 2 news, who brought electric energy to the event.
This year saw a change in venue for Wine Quest. “It was very exciting to plan and execute such a wonderful celebration for the first-time at Loews Portofino Bay Hotel, said Samantha Manguiat, Quest’s Events and Volunteer Manager.
“We are so fortunate to have the most dedicated supporters who value inclusion and are incredibly generous in their giving,” said Lauren Nelson, Quest’s Vice President of Philanthropy. All in all, the event was a smashing success and we thank all the attendees, sponsors, volunteers and staff for continuing to make Wine Quest the premier wine and dine experience in Central Florida.
