OUC – The Reliable One has been an integral steward of Orlando’s public resources for nearly 100 years. Their commitment to reliability extends to longstanding partnerships with Orlando service providers, like Quest, Inc., that bring a wealth of value to our community.
In honor of OUC’s ongoing support of Quest’s mission, we’ve produced this video to highlight just a few ways that OUC is helping to further Quest’s success. From employment opportunities to volunteerism to community investment in our large-scale initiatives, OUC has boosted our capacity to build communities where individuals with disabilities can achieve their goals.
“The OUC video was created as a way for Quest to provide an exposure experience for OUC similar to what they would have received from the live Wine Quest event,” said John Gill, President and CEO of Quest, Inc. “Wine Quest is a significant philanthropy event for Quest and its cancellation due to COVID was a serious blow. OUC was still willing to support Quest as a sponsor and the Quest marketing team thought a video would achieve or exceed the number of impressions as the live event.”
Leadership Synergy
Quest’s founder and former CEO, Katie Porta, had a strong relationship with OUC serving nearly eight years on their Board of Directors, including three years as president. Likewise, a member of the OUC team has served on Quest’s board for over ten years. This top-level collaboration allows both organizations the opportunity to strategize community investment with decision makers at the table.
Wine Quest
OUC has been one of Wine Quest’s biggest supporters. “OUC – The Reliable One, has been an incredible, long-term partner of Quest, Inc.” says Shari Vander Wiede, Quest’s Senior Director of Philanthropy in Orlando. “Each year, they provide a substantial presence as a high-level sponsor for our signature event, Wine Quest, and print the accompanying program. We’ve also been blessed by OUC’s volunteerism which has offered so many different ways to support the individuals we serve. OUC – The Reliable One is the picture perfect partner as they continue to share their time, talents and treasure.”
