QFL Takes on Puppetry!

The Quest for Life (QFL) program at Quest Kids Academy (QKA) recently introduced puppetry as an educational tool. QFL focuses on subjects like financial literacy and soft skills for older students who are preparing for graduation and transitioning into a more independent stage of life.

MicheLee Puppets, the leader in educational puppetry theater in Central Florida, partnered with QKA for this project. They empower lives through interactive, issue-based puppetry arts performances and workshops.

In this project, students worked with MicheLee Puppets to create a play, learning valuable life skills through the art of puppetry.

Despite initial nervousness, students quickly adjusted with the help of student leaders and instructors, including Erin Hennessy, a Job Coach at QKA, who relied on student models to show others that it’s okay to take on new challenges.

Puppetry allowed the students to apply their class-learned skills in a practical setting and learn the value of feedback and teamwork.

Deke Willis, an RBT at QKA, observed the students’ ability to take instruction and constructive feedback as a valuable component of the project.

Quest Kids Academy is grateful for its partnership with MicheLee Puppets and the fun and educational experience provided for our students. The class had a great time while learning valuable life skills for their increasingly independent lives.
